Good questions.Clear next steps.
Shipping from Canada, choosing a report, consolidating parts or accessing your auction account — start here.
Do you ship from the United States?
No. Shipping requests on this website originate in Canada only. If the vehicle or parts are outside Canada, speak with our team before making plans.
Do I have to deliver the vehicle to Halifax?
No. We coordinate collection across Canada and agree the appropriate Canadian departure point for your location, destination and cargo.
Can you ship a vehicle I bought myself?
Yes. You can request shipping for a vehicle you already own or have purchased independently in Canada. It does not need to be bought through our auction platform.
What shipping methods can I request?
Ask about container space allocation, a dedicated container, RoRo or flat-rack handling. The available method depends on the vehicle, cargo dimensions, carrier and route; the team confirms suitability.
Can a non-running vehicle or electric vehicle be shipped?
Include the operating condition and powertrain in your request. Non-running vehicles and batteries can affect handling and carrier acceptance, so we review the specific case before confirming.
How is container space allocated?
Our planning model allows up to four sedans or compact SUVs, including mixed loads, or two pickups. A large SUV uses 1.5 standard spaces. Final fit, loading and securing are confirmed for the actual vehicles.
Can I ship before my container allocation is full?
A full-container quotation can be arranged when you do not want to wait for a completed allocation. Confirm the rate, cargo fit and sailing plan with the team.
How long will shipping take?
Timing depends on collection, document readiness, loading, carrier availability and destination. We confirm an estimated plan for your request rather than publishing one duration for every shipment.
Are destination customs fees included?
Destination customs clearance, port release, duties, taxes, local charges and collection are the buyer’s responsibility. Our team follows up to confirm receipt and satisfaction.
Is marine insurance available?
Ask for optional marine insurance to be included for review. Coverage, exclusions, declared value and fees are confirmed for the specific shipment and policy.
Which vehicle reports can I request?
The form offers CARFAX Canada history, history with a Canadian lien check, AutoCheck where relevant, available auction-history and photo review, and an advisory damage review. We confirm availability and fees before ordering.
Does a standard CARFAX Canada report include a lien check?
No. Choose the History + Lien Check option if you want the provider’s Canadian lien-search service. Its geographic and record coverage is defined by the provider.
Can a report guarantee a vehicle has no damage?
No. Reports rely on the information available to their providers. They are a useful input, alongside an independent inspection, rather than a guarantee of condition or complete history.
What do I need to request a report?
A standard VIN is the best starting point. Add the vehicle listing, make, model and year when available. If the VIN is not known or is not standard, select that option so the team can review the request.
Is a damage review the same as a physical inspection?
No. A review of photographs or auction records is advisory and can help frame questions or an estimate. It does not establish the vehicle’s physical condition or replace an in-person inspection.
Can you combine parts from more than one supplier?
Include all Canadian supplier or pickup locations in your request. We review consolidation, packing and shipping options for the combined load before confirming a plan.
Can I ship an engine, transmission or body panels?
These can be reviewed through the parts form. Include item descriptions, quantities, approximate weight, packaging and any fluids or batteries so handling and acceptance can be checked.
Do the parts have to be purchased through you?
No. You can request shipping for your own parts or parts held by a Canadian supplier. Sourcing assistance can also be requested separately.
What is the Canadian Auction Gateway?
It is your access point to vehicles from independent Canadian auctions through 2Z Bid Lab. You select vehicles and bidding limits; our team coordinates bidding and buying on your behalf. Available auctions and vehicles are confirmed in the platform.
How do I apply for a buyer account?
Use Register to open the 2Z Bid Lab application. Enter your contact and identity details, destination country and preferred currency, verify your email and accept the account terms. The team then reviews your application.
What happens after my application is approved?
After approval, follow the account activation instructions and set your password. Your personal portal keeps your saved preferences, buying requests and account statement together.
Where do I sign in to my auction account?
Use client sign in to open 2Z Bid Lab. Your auction account and purchasing activity remain in that platform.
Do you create a new auction login on this website?
Use Register to create your buyer account in 2Z Bid Lab, our dedicated auction platform. Existing customers can use Sign In. Explore Canadian Auction Gateway for the complete journey or request a free walkthrough.
Do I have to live in Canada to apply?
Include your country and intended destination in the application. Our team reviews the account, auction access and destination requirements before approval. Ask us about your specific situation before committing to a purchase.
How do I fund my buying account?
Use the company bank-transfer instructions confirmed for your account. Your portal statement records incoming funds, purchases and other account movements. Check the beneficiary and payment reference with our team before transferring.
How do I choose vehicles and set my budget?
Browse the available Canadian auction vehicles, add your selections and enter a maximum bid for each one. Review the estimated charges and your available balance before sending the list for authorization.
Who places the auction bids?
Our team bids on your behalf up to the maximum you authorize for each vehicle. The gateway does not present our company as the auction owner or give you unrestricted direct bidding access to every operator.
Does my maximum bid include every fee?
The bid limit and the total purchase budget are different. Review the itemized estimate for auction charges, our service charges, Canadian transport and any requested shipping before authorizing. The agreed invoice explains the actual payable items.
What is the 30% balance reservation?
When you submit and electronically sign an authorized buying list, the platform reserves 30% of its total from your account balance. This is a reservation within the buying account; it is not an extra 30% service charge.
What happens if a vehicle is not won?
The vehicle is recorded as not won, and the corresponding reserved balance is released in the account. This releases the buying reservation; any withdrawal or external bank refund follows the account terms and must be discussed with the team.
Can I change or cancel my buying instructions?
Review your list and limits before signing. Contact the team immediately if you need a change. Instructions already authorized or acted on at auction may create commitments, so a change or cancellation is not automatic.
How do I pay after a successful purchase?
Review the detailed invoice in your account and pay the remaining amount using the confirmed instructions and deadline. Your statement records the settlement. Ask the team about any invoice item before paying.
How can I verify bank-payment instructions?
Confirm the company beneficiary, invoice reference and bank details through our official contact channel before sending funds. Payments are matched to the account and invoice, and recorded in the statement. Contact us if instructions change unexpectedly.
Does an auction listing guarantee the vehicle’s condition?
No. Read the listing, available photographs, history and sale conditions carefully. An advisory review does not guarantee hidden condition, roadworthiness or eligibility for import. Confirm the requirements of your destination before authorizing a purchase.
Are reports and inspections included with auction buying?
Request the reports or assessment you need so we can confirm scope, availability and fees. A physical visual or mechanical assessment can be arranged after the vehicle reaches our facility. Photo-based reviews are advisory.
How do I follow my buying request?
Sign in to your 2Z Bid Lab portal to review your submitted list, bidding results, invoices and account statement. Contact the team if you need clarification about a status or transaction.
What happens when my vehicle is received in your facility?
After purchase settlement and Canadian collection, the vehicle is received at our Nova Scotia facility and linked to its shipment record. Receiving at our facility completes the auction buying process shown on this website.
Where can I see the shipping stages after purchase?
Open Shipping journey to explore the separate receiving, preparation, export and ocean-shipping stages. Destination customs clearance, release, local charges and collection remain the buyer’s responsibility; we follow up on receipt and satisfaction.
What happens in a free consultation?
A specialist spends about 30 minutes on your shipping, report, parts or buying questions. When relevant, the session can include a platform demonstration and a practical cost breakdown.
Is my selected consultation time booked immediately?
No. The form collects your preferred day, local time window and time zone. Our team confirms the actual appointment and meeting method.
Does sending a request commit me to payment?
A service inquiry asks the team to review your needs. Shipping bookings, report orders, prices and any applicable terms are confirmed separately before you authorize the service.
How do I send the completed form?
Use Submit request in the final step. Your details are sent directly to our website and a reference appears on screen. Keep it for follow-up.
